STAGEHAND – JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE 1985

* This position is open to ages 18 and up and should have their own transportation.

Job Summary:

In this position a stagehand will provide labor support for general and technical support of performances by The 1985, an 80’s tribute band. Other duties may include assisting The 1985 Tech Crew with audio/visual, and stage lighting systems as needed. Stagehands will travel with The 1985 to shows regionally (usually within a 4 hr driving distance of South Bend, IN).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading of band trailer for shows.
• Load in and load out at venues.
• Heavy lifting and rolling of cases and equipment (between 50-70 lbs) will be required.
• Provide labor for setup of sound, lighting and video for shows as needed.
• Works as a team with all band members/tech & merch teams in order to maintain an effective/positive atmosphere.
• Works with others to anticipate needs.
• Perform basic troubleshooting tasks as needed during shows.
• Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
